Austin’s Flip Happy Crepes Makes Second Food Network Appearance
After a memorable and publicized appearance on Throwdown With Bobby Flay, Austin’s now-famous (perhaps because its “tacos” are French?) lunch trailer, Flip Happy Crepes, received another national shout-out on The Food Network. This time, the praise came from Beau MacMillan, best known for his appearance on last fall’s Worst Cooks in America (where he was overshadowed by Anne Burrell, but that’s neither here nor there), who named Flip Happy’s Nutella Crepes with Strawberries & Bananas as The Best Thing I Ever Ate on the show’s season 3 “Sweet Tooth” episode.
All I can say is my Flip Happy Moroccan Chicken Crepe never looked that good. Of course, I’m not a chef on The Food Network either.
Want to see if Flip Happy’s crepes are really worth writing home speaking on national television about? Find them at 400 Josephine Street, right behind Romeo’s on Barton Springs Road. [The trailer is closed until August 18th, however, due to family vacation, so make sure you get there early when it reopens, as, if past experience is any indication, the line will get long very, very quickly. They are only open for lunch.]
