Sufjan Stevens To Embark On North American Tour In October

Sufjan Stevens has announced a fall tour which will span from the Canadian border to the Deep South, hitting plenty of major metropolitan cities along the way. With a hand-picked lineup of classic venues – including the Beacon in New York, the Wiltern in LA, and the Chicago Theater – the tour consists of notably larger venues than Stevens’ 2009 tour through the Northeast. Fans from coast to coast will be happy to see the variety of locations that make up the 24-concert tour throughout October and November.

Sufjan Stevens is known as a diverse multi-instrumentalist who produces, according to Asthmatic Kitty Records, “folk songs of grand proportions”. His songs range from symphonic tone poems to electronic experimentations, featuring conceptual themes and complex time signatures. Pre-sale tickets are available starting Tuesday, August 10 at 1 PM, while general sales begin August 13. Prices range from $25 – $40, orders limited to 4 tickets per person.
