If you look at the Bumbershoot festival in terms of what you get for your money, it’s a good deal. Comedy shows, theater, spectacles, world class dance troupes, music…

But, if you don’t go to see any of the headlining, mainstage music acts, the tickets are expensive. This year’s mainstage acts make the standard ticket price of $40 reasonable, considering everything else you get. If you don’t want to see the mainstage acts, or can’t, the festival has a new offering this year: The Economy ticket.

The Economy ticket offers admission to Bumbershoot for $22 per day. That’s if you buy them ahead of time. If you wait to buy tickets at the gate, they’ll cost $30. Still not a bad deal.

Lest you think you’ll be missing out on great music, you should know there are some terrific acts that will be playing on other stages – six in all – that are included in the price of the economy ticket.
