Watch “The Endless Summer” in SoCal’s own Surf City: Huntington Beach!
The Endless Summer is the 1966 black and white film about local surfers who travel the globe looking for the perfect wave in… wait for it… an endless summer.
Thursday, August 26, watch this wave-loving classic outdoors in Orange Country’s premier surf location – Huntington Beach. Huntington was officially nicknamed “Surf City” a few years ago for tourist reasons, but you have to hand it to whichever City Marketing Guy coined it – it does fit HB remarkably well.
Before or after the flick, join in on the terrific hamburgers cooked by Ruby’s Diner (a the end of HB Pier), and hang with Director Bruce Brown, Robert August, and Robert “Wingnut†Weaver (dudes from the film) and get an autograph from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Just to sweeten the deal, burgers and sodas sold at the event will benefit Childhelp. Come anytime between 6-9:30 p.m., and the film starts at 7:30 p.m. Location: Pier Plaza, 315 Pacific Coast Hwy, Huntington Beach, California. Come on by and celebrate The Endless Summer!
