Texas Memorial Museum, Back-To-School Sale in Austin, TX

Dinosaur tracks at the Texas Memorial Museum

If you’re in the mood for dinosaur tracks and native Texas animals, then come by the Texas Memorial Museum located on the 40-acres of the University of Texas at Austin. The museum, which is also an active research center known as the Texas Natural Science Center, houses family friendly exhibits about Texas’ natural history. The museum itself has been recently renovated and contains a great gift shop that I see many children stopping to enjoy. Right now, the museum’s gift shop is holding a Back-To-School sale of 20% off merchandise through August 28th! That only leaves a few days so head on down to campus and enjoy the museum and the savings!

Voted the “Best Museum in Austin for Children” by Nickelodeon’s 2009 Parent’s Pick Awards.

The museum is located at 2400 Trinity St, Austin, Texas and is open Monday–Thursday, 9 am–5 pm; Friday, 9 am–4:45 pm, Saturday, 10 am–4:45 pm; Sunday, 1–4:45 pm. Admission is FREE!
