If you don’t like Skeletonwitch, you obviously haven’t heard Skeletonwitch. The band specializes in death and thrash metal that snarls and grits its fucking teeth and then sinks fangs into muscle, delivering a debilitating, artery-tearing blow. These guys released one of the sickest records of ’09 — Breathing the Fire — that may have slipped under your radar. If you dig nastiness, you need to get that record.
Anyways, Skeletonwitch will be touring late this fall and you should go try to catch ‘em. They’ll be bringing Withered and Landmine Marathon with them on the aptly-named “North American Skullsplitter Tour.” Now that’s a fucking tour banner. I’ve got dates after the jump, as always.
“We live for the road, so after six weeks of writing the next record, it’s going to be great to get back on the stage, basement floor, your mother’s house… whatever,” says Skeletonwitch’s Scott Hedrick.
Wait — did he just say something about a new record? He certainly did. FUCK. YES.
“Perhaps we’ll break out some new tunes,” Scottie says. “We’ll definitely break out some beers! It’s also killer to tour with two other Prosthetic bands. Keeping it in the family!”
