Seattle Magazine celebrates the Best of 2010 in style

Prince may have boasted about partying like it was 1999, but Seattle Magazine can go one better. On Thursday, November 18, the good folk of Seattle will get the chance to party like it’s 2010, with Seattle Magazine‘s Best of 2010 event – billed as the party of the decade.

If that sounds like a hollow claim, then take a moment to consider what’s on offer. Musical acts The Presidents of the United States of America, The Head and the Heart, THEESatisfaction and Ravenna Woods have been confirmed as the official entertainment, but anyone who went to the Best of 2006 party (see video below) will tell you that’s less than half the story.

In addition to the varied musical menu, the Best of 2010 party also offers drinks and canapes from the state’s finest restaurants, bars and wineries. This year tickets include a glass of Nicolas Feuillatte champagne, and there will be tastings from 20  Washington wineries, signature cocktails featuring Effen Vodka, Makers Mark and Hornitos Tequila, and Caffe Vita’s excellent coffee for when your feet start to drag.

If that isn’t enough to get you buzzing, then consider the food line-up. Featuring bites from Tom Douglas, Il Fornaio, TASTE, Gourmondo and many others, the menu offers an unrivaled smorgasbord of Seattle delights. Throw in cupcakes from Cupcake Royale and Trophy Cupcakes, as well as Molly Moon’s Ice Cream and samples from the Macrina Bakery, and you’ll think you’ve died and gone to a particularly decadent heaven.

Given that Seattle Magazine will also be unveiling their Best of 2010 picks, this really does promise to be the party of the decade.

Tickets are available now, priced $65, from Brown Paper Tickets. The Best of 2010 party takes place at the Seattle Design Center on November 18, 2010, from 7:00pm-11:00pm.
