Boston band The Vivs will be joined by Bill Goffrier (Big Dipper, The Embarrassment), Carrie Bradley (The Breeders, Ed’s Redeeming Qualities) and Scatterfield (one-night reunion) in a concert at the Regent Theatre on Dec. 18 to benefit the Children’s Room.
The Children’s Room is an organization offering support and outreach for grieving children and families in Greater Boston. The group serves families from over 75 cities and towns in Massachusetts, and educates teachers, counselors, youth workers and other professionals about how children and teens grieve.
The Vivs are a Boston-based rock band inspired by their love of songs, harmonies, guitars, and good words. They worship at the altar of rock: the visceral energy of Mission of Burma and Human Sexual Response, the humor and perfection of the Kinks, the sonic braininess of Yo La Tengo, and the distaff awesomeness of Scrawl and The Breeders.
