Kids by Keller Williams: Great Music for Children

Kids by Keller Williams, released October 26, 2010

My daughter and I fell in love with the new album, Kids, after listening to the lyrics “Mama Tooted”.  Seriously, I have never laughed so hard over a song (tears streaming).  His humor is right on for kids – and kids at heart. The Car Seat song is a catchy little tune I can see being played in family vans everywhere.  The song Good Advice is another humorous ditty that elaborates on the popular adage, “You can pick your nose, and you can pick your friends, but you can’t pick your friend’s nose”. Keller includes his daughter sweet voice in several songs, including Hey Little Baby, Horseback Rider, and a soon-to be classic The Fastest Song in the World.

Keller Williams

Keller Williams is a musician of multiple genres, who has been playing for over 20 years.   He has been dubbed a “one-man jam-band” and you hear some of that on this album.  Kids is Williams’ first album for young children.  With a mixture of bluegrass and rock, Keller creates a joyful sound children will respond to. The great beats and funny lyrics are sure to make it a coveted CD on long car rides.

Keller has taken great care to ensure this album meets the high stands of kids everywhere.  He has songs like My Neighbor is Happy Again to make them laugh, and songs about everyday activities kids can relate such as Taking a Bath and Keep it On the Paper.  His playfulness and love of children shines through in his music.

I am also impressed with the kid-friendly album cover.  It has two kids on it (young goats), and the lyric notes are littered with adorable goat pictures.  He has seen to every detail to guarantee children will be enchanted by his work.

I highly recommend Kids to parents looking for a fun album to entertain their children.  Best of all, I think parents will thoroughly enjoy, too.
