candy cane cupcakeIt’s holiday/Christmas time and for most people, this means spending time with your loved ones and shopping. I, on the other hand, think of food and nothing else. I love holiday snacks, and they come in great varieties. I can choose from a distant relative’s version of “fruit cake” (yes, I meant to put fruit cake in quotes) or white chocolate covered pretzels in the shape of reindeer. I love holiday snacks and they love me. You can choose to make your own or buy them at stores. Here are some ideas or tips on how to enjoy some holiday snacks!

Store Bought

If you’re tired of the usual mini candy canes, try shopping at specialty stores like Godiva or World Market. At specialty stores, it’s easier to find higher quality and rare snacks that grocery stores might not carry—like seasonal or local items that aren’t native to California.
