If you’re unfamiliar with New Jersey black metal act Krieg, go to the nearest toilet, and stick your head in it. Now, flush. Krieg are sinister and they’re raw. Live, Krieg’s intensity is hard to fucking match. These guys rip.
Now, thanks to a special partnership with Inferna Profundus Records, the band will be reissuing Patrick Bateman, the band’s 2003 album. That’s pretty sick, because I have not been able to find this album anywhere for ages. I’m sure The Goat has a copy, but I’ve never asked him to copy it for me.
Based on Bret Easton Ellis’ novel “American Psycho,” Patrick Bateman is “close to fifteen minutes of the harshest and most feral material Krieg ever set to tape,” a press release claims. And this reissue will even feature a newly recorded bonus track. Killer! No pun intended.
The set will also come with new packaging and linear notes from main member Imperial. A December 2010 release is expected, and will be limited to 500 copies, with the first 100 copies in exclusive digipack with different artwork.
