Here at CultureMob we’ve written about Dorian’s Parlor a few times before. To those who may have missed the articles, Dorian’s Parlor is a monthly steampunk/Victoriana event held in downtown Philadelphia. They have musical performances, circus acts, vendors, DJs, and even fashion shows. It’s a wonderfully unique and entertaining event that should not be missed.
This past November event featured a fashion show by Delicious Boutique, which just happens to be a really cool store in Northern Liberties (located at 1040 N. American St. #901, Philadelphia, PA 19123). I had been in there once before, after falling in love with their kick ass clothing at The Steampunk World’s Fair convention in New Jersey. Needless to say, I am a fan of their stuff, and was quite pleased to find out they’d be showing off some designs at Dorian’s Parlor.
Below are some photos from the fashion show. Be on the lookout for the SkinGraft Ruffle Skirt, which is just about the coolest damn skirt on the planet (in my humble opinion). The crowd was totally loving these outfits, and I bet you will love them too.
If you like what you see, definitely come out to Dorian’s Parlor this month. The December date is the 18th, and as always it will be at the Doubletree Hotel in Philadelphia. The December fashion show will feature MayFaire Moon. Entry is $25 and includes a drink ticket and Hors D’oeuvres. Performers for December include The Clockwork Dolls and The Slomski Brothers. Dorian’s Parlor is sponsored by Circuit Six (and they were kind enough to invite CultureMob in November, so thank you Circuit Six!).
