The New Market in Town: Whole Foods Opens in Huntington Beach

Whole Foods Market opened in the Bella Terra center in Huntington Beach on October 13th and from the looks of the parking area and general traffic inside the market, the store seems to be doing pretty well.

The main draw for many customers and what takes up at least 30% of the store is the line up of mini food shops and the fresh food bar, which includes a bakery, gelaterie, sushi take-out, Italian take-out, fresh salad section (think Albertson’s macaroni salad and cheese section). Whole Foods likes to internalize their region in the store, evident in the unqiue “Pho Bar” with four steps on how to make your own rice noodle soup at $6.49 per bowl. If you like Lee’s Sandwiches, you’ll probably like the Whole Foods’ Pho Bar. There is seating inside the store as well as a nice patio seating area.

The holiday feasts that Whole Foods introduced for Thanksgiving seems to be holding over for Christmas as well, with a free tasting event for some of the items on the menu on December 16th.
