B.o.B “No Genre” mixtape free download

Atlanta emcee B.o.B is no longer underground. After scoring one of 2010’s hit records with the help of Bruno Mars, B.o.B now has five Grammy nominations for his debut album B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray.

His new found celebrity has not meant he has forgotten his roots. Earlier this week B.o.B released a new mixtape, No Genre, for free download. The “single” “Beast Mode” sees Bob linking back up with producer Infinity, someone he worked with when he was still a burgeoning artist.

Other tracks include features with Grand Hustle label head T.I. and label mate Young Dro, as well as fellow Atlanta rappers Cyhi da Prynce (signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music) and Donnis (Atlantic Records).

Fans of B.o.B’s past mixtapes – Who the Fuck is B.o.B?, B.o.B vs. Bobby Ray, Gangsta Grillz: May 25th – should expect more of the same. While his album had a not-unwelcome pop vibe, No Genre is filled with rapping. There’s beats built from Foreigner flips that set a perfect backdrop for a tale of betrayal. An album leftover featuring a Coldplay samples that has in the past lent its bars to one of Jay-Z’s most memorable verses. And just a ton of good old rapping over new beats by Quincy Jones – yes that Quincy Jones – Jim Jonsin and B.o.B himself. You also can’t forget the remix of Lupe Fiasco’s “I’m Beaming” featuring the All City Chess Club. A loose collaborative featuring Asher Roth, Charles Hamilton, Lupe Fiasco, The Cool Kids, Blu., Diggy Simmons, Dosage and B.o.B among others.
