As first reported here earlier this month, Charred Walls of the Damned — which features former Death and Iced Earth drummer Richard Christy, who is also a staffer on The Howard Stern Show — are about to begin work on their sophomore album.
Charred Walls of the Damned is preparing to enter Criteria Recording Studios in Miami, Florida, with producer Mark Lewis — who has worked with All That Remains and Chimaira — to begin recording their next album for an early 2011 release through Metal Blade Records.
The band’s first, self-titled release was very well-received, and Charred Walls even played a few shows last summer. Of course, Charred Walls of the Damned also features Tim “Ripper” Owens and Gun Shy Assassin buddy Jason Suecof.
The band’s debut sold around 2,200 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The disc was recorded at Suecof’s Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida.
