Future Ferraris Equipped with Biometric and Psychometric Sensors

From: uk.autoblog.com

To prevent potential car accidents, Ferrari’s engineers are working on technology which monitors the driver’s mental state, and adjusts the car’s electronic stability systems to match.

They are planning a range of in-car biometric and psychometric sensors to assess respiration, blood pressure, heart rate, blink rate, temperature, perspiration and even brain activity. These sensors would mounted round the cabin (on the steering wheel and driver’s seat as well) to constantly monitor the driver’s psycho-physical condition.

Ferrari believes that most people overestimates their physical and mental condition, and adjust the car’s performance setting according to their liking rather than how they’re actually feeling.
