Sister Signs With Metal Blade
Not your sister, and not my sister. Not even Sister Maria, who rapped your knuckles with a ruler every time you blew a snot rocket in class. Sister is a band from Sweden who’re apparently punk- and sleaze-influenced. The band’s Metal Blade debut will be out this summer.
“We feel honored to have signed with legendary Metal Blade Records,” the band says in a statement. “This is the kind of label we’ve been waiting for and together, we know we will make big things happen!”
Those dudes look like The Murderdolls meet Black Veil Brides. Not sure how I feel about that. Before today, I didn’t even know this band existed. Let’s see what they come up with on their Metal Blade disc. They must be awesome if Metal Blade signed ‘em.
According to a press release, the band formed in 2006, and consists of four members who do not have last names — Jamie on vocals, Lestat on guitars and backing vocals, Rikki on bass and backing vocals, and Cari on drums and backing vocals. The band’s members combine “the sounds of punk, glam, rock, and metal with an end result sounding something like the bastard child of GG Allin and Guns N’ Roses.”
Fucking GG, man. How I miss him…
