I happen to love Steven Wilson and his work as much as I love Devin Townsend and his work. If these two dudes collaborated on an album, I’d probably drown in my own pre-ejaculate. But that’s neither here nor there.

According to the Twitter page of Steven Wilson’s Blackfield project, a third album is on the way called Welcome to my DNA.

Blackfield is Wilson’s experimental rock project with Israeli rock icon Aviv Geffen. I have heard the first two Blackfield albums, and, while they were not my favorite of Steven Wilson’s projects, they are musical masterpieces. They’re just kind of overwhelming.

Having said that, I am still super-psyched to hear Welcome to my DNA, which should be out in late March through Atlantic Records; the new disc follows 2007’s Blackfield II. More than that though, I’d love a new solo album from Wilson. If you haven’t heard Insurgentes, you need to.
