What’s Carolina Rebellion, you ask? That’s a good question, and a valid one. It’s a first-ever one-day destination festival set to take over the Metrolina Expo in Charlotte, North Carolina, on May 7.
It’s mostly a rock festival. OK, there is not a single metal band — at least what I would consider metal — on the bill. It’s the sort of festival you’d expect North Carolina to host.
Who’s playing? Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack, Three Days Grace, and Stone Sour are among the artists confirmed for the festival. You can see the entire lineup after the jump.
“Strap yourself in and hold on tight…Godsmack is coming to Carolina Rebellion to kick y’all a new asshole,” said the always eloquent Sully Erna in a statement.
I wonder what kind of crowd this Rebellion is going to attract. I am very intrigued. I may just have to go down there with a camera to catch it all. Imagine the freaks who’re going to be at this thing. I mean, I bet you there are a ton of pasty trolls there in bikinis that’re two sizes too small, mascara all over there faces because they’re sweating already at 10 a.m. ‘cause they’re such pigs. I may just have to go for the visuals.
The lineup for Carolina Rebellion:

Bullet For My Valentine
Theory of a Deadman
Black Stone Cherry
My Darkest Days
Art of Dying
