Video footage — which can be seen after the jump — has surfaced online of Deftones fans rioting in Bangkok, Thailand, after the band’s February 15 concert there was cancelled. I’d have the same fucking reaction if I were living in Bangkok and a Deftones show were cancelled. Its not like there’s much else to do over there beyond molesting boys.

The show was scheduled to start at 8 p.m., but organizers announced an hour-and-a-half later that the show was being called off due to “electrical problems.” That led thousands of pissed off fans to start throwing bottles at the venue, breaking windows and vandalizing local vendor’s booths.

The band issued an apology on their Facebook page, saying that “Due to local power issues that threatened the safety of the band and their fans, Deftones were forced to cancel their show last night at the Thunderdome in Bangkok, Thailand. Deftones would like to apologize to those that were inconvenienced and hope to return to Thailand in the near future. Refund info to follow soon.”
