Tiger-blooded Charlie Sheen is awesome, people. He’s a man after my own heart — he just doesn’t give a fuck. As it turns out, Slash — the former guitarist for Guns N’ Roses and a dude who has tons of experience dealing with junkies, having worked with Scott Weiland in Velvet Revolver — also supports Charlie Sheen’s extremely public downward spiral.
In a new interview, Slash not only revealed that Sheen’s one of his neighbors, but that the dude “is probably the most rock and roll character in entertainment today.”
In lieu of Sheen’s destructive and erratic behavior, production on the CBS sitcom “Two And A Half Men” has been halted, and rumor has it the network is looking for someone — namely John Stamos — to take over for Sheen, who’s been running through eight balls and porn stars like a dude determined to end up dead, facedown in a puddle of his own blood and vomit.
“I love Charlie,” Slash says, smiling. “Charlie is probably the most rock and roll character in entertainment today. All things considered, he’s been having a little bit of a hard time recently with all the bad press and everything. But he’s been managing to get away with what he’s been doing on that show and get a raise over the last more than ten years. I think that’s pretty cool.”
