Jeroen Paul Thesseling
Well, that would just suck. But according to Bravewords, that’s the rumor.

Bassist Jeroen Paul Thesseling is reportedly taking a break from German death metallers Obscura; the rumors follow the band’s most recent shows, the last few of which featured bass player Jacob Schmidt of Defeated Sanity; he also replaced Jeroen during their European tour in 2009.

No temporary replacement has been announced by the band yet and it remains clear when Thesseling will return to pick up bass duties again, if at all. An official announcement is expected soon.

This comes just before the release of Omnivium, the follow-up to Obscura’s Cosmogenesis, which drops March 29.
