Yesterday, Poison revealed that they’d be co-headlining a tour this summer with Mötley Crüe, and that the New York Dolls would indeed be opening. Mötley Crüe doesn’t quite see it the same way.
According to Mötley Crüe, has released a statement confirming that there will be a summer headlining tour, and sort of seemed peeved that Poison blew up their spot, giving the exclusive to CNN. They’re also claiming that the tour will feature “support from Poison and special guest New York Dolls.”
Now, we have a reason to go to this tour. Poison and Mötley Crüe have had a history of what could either be interpreted as friendly competition or bad blood, depending on what band you ask. I can only foresee problems with this trek. Egos are going to get bruised left and right and this summer, I can predict lots of controversial stories developing from this tour.
The dates for the jaunt, which is scheduled to kick off in early June, will be announced on SixxSense.com on tonight at around 7 p.m. Start stocking up on Valtrex now.
