University of Michigan 3D Lab has uploaded a video of using the Emotiv EPOC brain-computer interface headset to navigate in a virtual, stereoscopic 3D environment. This project reminds us of InteraXon’s 3D TV experience showcased at CES 2011.

The UM3D Lab provides access to high-end technologies and professional expertise in the general areas of 3D simulation, digital fabrication, education, visualization, motion capture, modeling, animation, and application development. Continuing the work done by the former Virtual Reality Lab, and now a member of the University Libraries, the UM3D Lab strives to provide the tools, expertise, and collaborative opportunities needed to support cutting edge research and education initiatives.
The Lab’s resources and consulting services are available to students, faculty, and staff from all schools and colleges for exploration, education, and research.
