Yes, just four. Not one, or two, or even three. And not five. Fucking four. And the first is in New York City, so I’m happy. It’s been a while since I saw Cave In live. If you haven’t, you should make a point of seeing the band on this run if they’ll be playing near you.
Cave In rule. Yes, their earliest stuff is perhaps more my speed, but how can you deny the beauty of their later efforts? The soaring guitars, the airy vocals, the vast elements that interplay throughout songs like “Seafrost,” “Breath of Water,” and “Requiem.” Cave In are awesome, and it’s unfortunate that the major label system sucked them up and spit them out so nonchalantly, because I feel like it really soured the dudes about the whole “making music” thing.
Those tour dates, after the jump. The band allegedly have a new album finished called White Silence. Look for Hydra Head to release it before summertime rolls.
