Swedish black metallers Marduk have recorded a three-song EP called Iron Dawn, which drops May 27 — the same day the band is set to perform at the Maryland Deathfest.
A press release claims that the songs included on Iron Dawn differ from the concept that’ll serve as the thred that runs through the band’s next full-length album. Therefore, Marduk figured they’d release them as an EP, to whet fans’ appetites.
The three songs on the EP are as follows: “Warschau 2: Headhunter Halfmoon,” “Wacht Am Rhein: Drumbeats Of Death,” and “Prochorovka: Blood And Sunflowers.” Blood and sunflowers is also the name of a short story I wrote in high school about losing my virginity.
The EP will be available for a limited time with 12-inch vinyl versions of the disc limited to 500 copies worldwide.
I fucking love Marduk, and you should too. I’m excited for the full-length but will definitely be checking out this EP.
