According to the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington, DC, their upcoming production of Grease is "[t]he musical you know and love. Only gayer." Sounds like a natural fit to us.

Brann Dailor smells his fingers
Do you really need to know more? It’s just about done.

Not done yet, but pretty close to being done. When it’s done, we’ll let you know. But for now, the new Mastodon album is still being conceived, and it’s almost done. But that could mean it’s far from done, by most bands’ standards, if you know what I mean. So, who knows? recently interviewed drummer of the Don, Brann Dailor, and he says it’s not done yet. “It’s coming along really good. We’re just about done. I’m excited to get into the studio and start recording.”

See? They’re still writing it. Brann says the band’s guitarists “have been collecting riffs as we go while we’re on tour. We have a little amp backstage and they’ll jam on some stuff and record it and get bits and pieces together. Then when we get home and have time to write a record we can dump all those parts out and see what fits together and what sounds good and what doesn’t.”

Yes sir, that’s how it usually goes. You takes pieces of a song, and you put ‘em together to make songs, and then you release those songs as the new album. That’s how it works.

So, the new Mastodon record — it’s just about done, but not done yet. When it’s done, you will know, OK? Stop asking already.
