In just over a decade, the LSE-based, "gypsy punk" troubadours of Gogol Bordello have gone from playing dingy basements up and down the East Coast to sharing the stage with Madonna. Every time they tour, perpetual sell-outs follow in their wake, but this coming April, they'll be an extra added reason to catch their carnival-cum-concert extravaganza -- the on-the-road debut of singer-songwriter (nee hardcore tough guy) Jesse Malin's newest band.

Kyuss Lives
Kyuss Lives, the project featuring three-quarters of influential stoner rock act Kyuss, will unleash their desert rock fury on the U.S. for the first time in over 15 years this coming fall.

The eagerly anticipated near-total return of the California rock pioneers follows the blanket success of the group’s sold-out spring European tour, which has proven to be a feast of recognition for the band.

Due to unprecedented demand, the legendary musicians — bassist Nick Oliveri, drummer Brant Bjork and singer John Garcia along with guitarist Bruno Fevery, who most recently played with Garcia in the Garcia Plays Kyuss project — have announced two very special U.S. shows to take place this fall in New York and California with openers The Sword. My, how the mighty have fallen.

Those dates after the jump, with more to be announced in the coming weeks.

Kyuss Lives with The Sword:
9/23: New York, NY @ Terminal 5
10/8: Pomona, CA @ The Fox Theater
