The Head and the Heart head home to Seattle

Ballard’s The Head and the Heart have had a great couple of months. While you were spending the post-winter doldrums attempting to stick to your New Year’s Resolution diet and lamenting our never-ending rain, the six-piece band was busy appearing on ‘Best of’ lists, and scoring a deal on indie wunderlabel Sub Pop.

Since making their relationship with the Seattle label official, the band has set out on tour – making stops at SXSW, and soon, the Pacific Northwest’s beloved Sasquatch! Festival. After a slew of in-store performances for Record Store Day, the hometown heroes return to the Emerald City this Friday and Saturday, to play sold-out shows at Showbox at the Market, and the Moore Theater. Jonesing to get a live taste of Seattle’s latest “it band“? Better start trolling Craigslist, because scoring these tickets will be about as easy as clearing Lindsay Lohan’s record. It’s worth checking StubHub too, as both shows are currently completely sold out. Hipsters don’t mess around, you guys.

If you’re one of the unlucky ones, console yourself with some free tunes – the band’s soulful debut was recently re-released just in time for record store day, complete with a bonus track.

UPDATE: For those of you attending the Moore Theatre show on Saturday April 30, the STG have just released these approximate set times (note that all set times are subject to change):

Doors open at 7 pm
