Vinnie Vincent Arrested On Assault Charges
TMZ.com must have sources everywhere. Or they must pay for news tips. Because they somehow discovered that former Kiss guitarist Vinnie Vincent (a dude so nice, they named him twice) was busted in Tennessee on charges of aggravated assault. No details on the alleged assault were immediately available.
Vinnie (real name: Vinnie Cusano) was arrested Sunday (May 22) by the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Department and was held on $10,000 bond. He posted bail and was released around 11:30 a.m.
Vincent joined Kiss in 1982, replacing lead guitarist Ace Frehley. He played with the group for two years, allegedly leaving on very bad terms. He later claimed Kiss’ Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley owed him royalties for his work on the 1983 album Lick It Up. But a federal judge in Los Angeles ruled against him and instead, awarded Gene and Paul about $66,400 in attorney’s fees and $15,400 in related court costs.
Last June, Vincent lost his 6th Circuit appeal of an order barring him from seeking bankruptcy protection from paying more than $81,000 to his former bandmates.
