Korn Bassist Embarrassed By Fieldy’s Dreams Side Project
Korn bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu tells Revolver Magazine he regrets his 2002 side project, Fieldy’s Dreams. Yet, he didn’t learn from the mistake: You really think this Stillwell project is any fucking better, dude?
“I was real young when I did that,” says Fieldy, of Fieldy’s Dreams. “Today I don’t think I need to be on a mic. I don’t think I have a voice. That’s a gift that some people have. Back then, Korn was on top and we could do anything we wanted. But I look back on it now and I’m embarrassed [laughs]. At least I can say that. I wish I never did it, but obviously it’s out and there’s nothing I can do about it.”
Fieldy then tells the magazine that he’s a bit confused that his Korn bandmates do not seem very jazzed about Stillwell; Fieldy’s band did some shows with Korn recently.
“They actually watch us almost every night, but they don’t seem very animated about things for some reason,” says Fieldy. “They’re not coming up to me, like, ‘Dude, that is sooo dope!’ But I’ll see Jonathan watching us from the side of the stage from time to time. I saw Munky watching us from the soundboard the other night.”
Prediction: In five years, Fieldy will tell Revolver the following: “I look back on Stillwell and I’m ashamed. I wish I never did it.”
