Ex-Nevermore Guitarist Reveals Info On New Solo LP
If you’ve yet to hear Zero Order Phase, the first solo album from erstwhile Nevermore guitarist Jeff Loomis, you’re doing yourself a real disservice.
It’s completely instrumental and insanely good; there are some amazing, super progressive riffs that wouldn’t have worked for Nevermore. It’s one of those albums that can be played from front to back, without having to skip any less-than-worthy tracks. They are all worthy.
Loomis has revealed that he will enter a recording studio on August 23 to begin recording his second solo album. I just peed.
Dirk Verbeuren of Soilwork will play drums on the disc, which will feature three or four tracks with vocals. Who needs ‘em Jeff?
Christine Rhoades, who previously collaborated with Nevermore on the Dreaming Neon Black record, will be lending her voice to those songs.
Loomis also revealed that some special guest guitarists will also be on the outing, but those details will be announced at some later date.
I’m fucking way pumped for this.
