Faith No More: No Studio Record In The Works
Man, why the fuck not? If ANY band should come back with new studio shit, it’s Faith No More. Fuck all these other bands that return only to release tripe they hype for 12 months, only for it to suck a whole bunch. Faith No More and Rage Against The Machine.
New albums from both those bands would make Christmas just so much merrier.
But, Mike Patton tells RollingStone there’s not much on the band’s agenda beyond this one upcoming gig they have in Paulínia, São Paulo, Brazil
“Other than that, we don’t have plans for a new recording or anything like that, we’re just taking it slow as it comes,” Patton said.
“Reunions can be done very distastefully I think, and we were all very worried about that,” he added. “But I think we were all very surprised with how good it felt. It’s a tired old script: band splits up, gets hard up for cash, goes on tour and records a shitty record. We don’t want to be part of that kind of history.”
Patton once told me in an interview way back in the early 2000s that money is the one and only reason Faith No More would ever reunite. Guess there’s some truth to that then.
