Not by a long shot.
Sure, we haven’t heard much about it since March, but work is expected to resume on the upcoming collaborative project, featuring Soulfly‘s Max Cavalera and The Dillinger Escape Plan‘s Greg Puciato.
Puciato was recently asked on Twitter about the project, and said 16 songs were currently demoed. He also added that more progress will be made following the completion of The Dillinger Escape Plan‘s European tour next month.
According to Puciato, the collaboration will sound something like Nailbomb, that industrial thrash metal band from the 1990s that Cavalara was in.
Back in March, Puciato said that the material was “dark,” and in a recent interview, Cavalera said that extra musicians are being considered for the project; can you say Devin Townsend? The debut offering from the duo will be recorded later this year and will be released in 2012.
