Well, this certainly seems like a waste of valuable police resources, doesn’t it?
According to WSOCTV.com, a federal investigation is underway after pictures surfaced of Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee and Poison singer Bret Michaels firing guns in Rowan County, North Carolina.
Lee and Michaels, along with several law enforcement officers, were photographed with firearms at the Rowan County Peace Officers Association.
Sheriff Kevin Auten told reporters the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) is investigating to investigate Lee and Michaels’ criminal backgrounds, and learn more about the weapons.
According to the North Carolina’s Felony Firearms Act, it is against the law “for any person who has been convicted of a felony to purchase, own, possess, or have in his custody, care, or control any firearm.”
