Tiger Flowers Exclusive Song Stream: “Drag”
So, from time to time, awesomeness actually befalls Gun Shy Assassin and the gods of metal shine down on us, and gifts us with awesome opportunities; previous examples include every column anyone has ever written for us, from the first one by Trevor Strnad of Black Dahlia Murder (even though he’ll probably never write another one for us at this rate) to this week’s newest addition to the family, Patrick Shannon from All Else Failed.
Today, awesomeness has truly come our way, as Tiger Flowers have seen fit to let us stream a song from their forthcoming EP. It’s a super phat song, too. And by phat, we mean a rippin’ track with riffs and wicked vocals that you’ll have no choice but to bang that dumb little head of yours to. When I say that we are proud to be bringing you this exclusive track (which you’ll find at the end of this post, of course), don’t be fooled. I am proud, but I have discovered that another site once streamed a rough version of this track. So you may recognize it if you’re a die-hard, but this is the version from the self-titled EP from New York’s own ferocious metal sons Tiger Flowers.
The song is called called “Drag,” and at seven minutes and 23 seconds, it’s a fucking beast. Again, the song appears on the band’s forthcoming self-titled EP, which drops September 20 through The Path Less Traveled Records. The Tiger Flowers EP was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Mike Kalajian at 30/30 Club Recording Studio.
By now, we’ve beaten you over the head with the fact that we’re psyched and that Tiger Flowers have a new four-song EP due out in September, so let’s just get to the song, shall we? By the way, check back here soon for our exclusive interview with Jesse Madre, the singer of the band.
Now, listen and love. If you don’t, go into your parent’s bedroom and procreate with yourself and a tooth brush…in front of them, because you should be shamed.
