Now that would be a sick tattoo
Mick Barr is one of the guitar players for Krallice, whom I love. But like most metal dudes, being in one project just doesn’t keep him wet. So, he’s been working on a solo album.

It’s called Coiled Malescence and will be out next month. Deciblog is currently streaming it in its entirety, and I’ve got to say — it sounds nothing like Krallice.

In fact, it’s going to take a special kind of ear to appreciate the tripped-out guitar craziness of this album. I’m halfway through the first side, and I’m not sure how much more I can take. I mean, it’s out there, and creative…that’s for sure. But…just listen.

Coiled Malescence comes out September 13 on vinyl through Safety Meeting Records and on CD through Savage Land.

That there is the album cover, by the way. It’s very fitting, I will have you know. I may get that tattooed on my ass. I think that would look fucking sweet.
