I’m not sure that’s necessary, but I’m sure that won’t stop Boysetsfire.
The reunited band will be writing new songs in the coming weeks, according to their Facebook page.
“Next step? We have decided to start writing when we get home! Wish us luck!,” Boysetsfire writes. Good luck. Or, rather, please stop while you’re ahead.
You know, there was a time in my life — it was about 1997 — that I thought Boysetsfire was the fucking shit. The Day the Sun Went Out and After The Eulogy were tight releases, but then they signed with Wind-Up and it was all downhill from there.
Back in October, when we reported on their reunion, this was my final comment — which still rings true today: “Let’s hope they play all the early stuff if they do go out on tour, and that they don’t record new stuff. Those last two albums were shit.”
