Warmachine have a new drummer, and me? I had a blast last night.
I went into the city (which city, you ask? The only city, you malcontent) to hang and chat with an old friend named Keith and we had a bona fide blast recounting olden days of yore and old. He’s a ribald chap with a sinister disposition, and we recounted our days of whoring and pillaging in the Northeast. Ah, thems were the days.
Anyways, so, yeah — Warmachine. They’re from Toronto, and they have a new drummer. A dude who may be an albino named Dave Langguth. He’s played with the likes of Nelly Furtado and Gilby Clarke. So, there.
“Dave is one of the best drummers in the industry,” brags the band. “His incredible talent and ability behind the kit speaks for itself. We are honored to welcome him to the family.”
Congrats, guys. You can’t have a band without a drummer. Not a good band anyways. And you can’t tell me that dude didn’t try to tap Nelly Furtado. I would’ve. Eat that fotch for hours. Because as an old homeless man once told me outside Penn Station: “If it smells like cologne, leave it alone — if it smells like fish, tasty dish.”
