Look at that beautiful artwork. My word. That’s the kind of shit I’d get framed and display in my rock memorabilia room.
Japan’s Sigh have announced that they will release their ninth album in March. It’s called In Somniphobia and it will be released by Candlelight Records.
A press release says the CD is “by far more musically varied” compared to the previous album. “Put heavy metal, classical music, jazz, Indian traditional music, Stockhausen, and Xenakis into a cauldron of hell and stir it, you’ll get In Somniphobia,” the release says.
That sounds scary…SCARY AWESOME! “It is a pure sonic nightmare that lasts more than an hour… It is not easy to describe its direction, but probably one can say that it is something between Imaginary Sonicscape, Hail Horror Hail and Gallows Gallery, or rather, simply a nightmarish version of Imaginary Sonicscape.”
The cover artwork for In Somniphobia was created by Eliran Kantor, who has previously worked with Testament, Gwar, Atheist, and Anacrusis.
