Scott Weiland

Yes, yes — Scott Weiland and Velvet Revolver are reuniting.

For one show. For a good cause.

Velvet Revolver and Scottie will perform at “Love You Madly: A Concert For John O’Brien” on Thursday, January 12, at the House Of Blues in West Hollywood, California.

Hopefully, Scott will actually show up, and be straight enough to play.

Also scheduled to appear are Adam Levine and James Valentine of Maroon 5, Sheryl Crow, Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello, the legendary Stephen Stills, and The Forest Rangers.

It has been nearly four years since Velvet Revolver and Scott parted ways. It’s been nearly four years since anyone cared.

Weiland recently told Classic Rock magazine that “We [him and Velvet Revolver] patched things up and we get along. I see them every now and again, we text each other. And you know, we can never say never. Who knows, maybe we’ll do some shows some time.”

Who knows, right? Oh, wait…

By the way, “Love You Madly: A Concert For John O’Brien” pays homage to award-winning ASCAP composer John O’Brien, who was found dead in his Chicago hotel room on August 20 at the age of 45. He worked on a number of films — including the “Iron Man” films — and television projects.
