The Pratt Fine Arts Center is one of many organizations to offer Seattle art lovers free monthly exhibitions on its First Thursday Art Walks. This month’s show, running from January 5-28, ‘Made at Pratt‘ , is a group exhibition featuring work created by participants in Pratt’s Studio Rental Program.
This exhibition, at the Tashiro Kaplan Studios in the heart of Pioneer Square, features work from each of Pratt’s studios and highlights the many options that Pratt’s Studio Rental Program provides to artists. Each year, this program provides over 500 artists the space and tools needed for creating art.
‘Made at Pratt’ features artists Matt Babcock, Charlene Baugher, Taryn Bertolino, Adia Bobo, Dawn Endean, Cynthia Hibbard, Bob Hoffmeyer, Lin Holley, Manny Krakowski, Joan Mamelok, Ulrich Pakker, Donna Prunkard, Christina Reed, Johanna Schoemaker, Checha Sokolovic, Laura Wessel, Sam Wildman, and Cheryl Wuensch. The exhibit includes work in drawing, painting, printmaking, jewelry, sculpture, glass, and other artistic mediums.
This is a perfect opportunity to get a taste of just what the Pratt Fine Arts Center has to offer. Having been a Pratt studio renter myself in the past, I can tell you it’s a great resource that deserves our support.
