Mastodon Release “Dry Bone Valley” Trailer
Mastodon — and/or their label, Warner Bros. — must’ve spent a fuck ton on the creation — and the rights to — that bloody mask which is featured on the cover of the band’s latest album, which basically sounds kinda like Queens of the Stone Age on crack…but not even that good.
This mask is everywhere, man. Mastodon’s videos, all over all the promotional stuff and the merch. The viral videos preceding the record were all about this fucking mask. They’re even selling rubberized versions of the elaborate mask.
The following trailer indicates that we are going to be seeing a lot of this mask for Mastodon’s foreseeable future.
Don’t forget, kids — Mastodon will be touring this spring with Opeth and Ghost.
The video for “Dry Bone Valley” was directed and animated by Tim Biskup and will premiere online today, at around 7 p.m. on the East Coast. Where? I have no fucking idea, but I am assuming MetalInjection, YouTube or Mastodon’s own site.
