That’s right, kids.

Trevor Dunn of Mr. Bungle and Secret Chiefs 3 fame has joined Tomahawk and will participate in the recording of the group’s new album.

“Upon arriving home from that tour, after licking my wounds, I need to dig into learning music for the new Tomahawk record,” writes Dunn online.

“And yes, it seems as though I’m joining yet another band. This will probably make the fifth band with which Mike Patton and I have shared the stage. Duane Denison and I have been speculating about playing some music together for a while. So, Nashville, here I come.”

I’m taking from this post that they will likely meet up next month to start serious work on the album.

In other news, Mr. Bungle still are not back together.
