That’s right, my carbon-based pals.
Gwar are working on a new album as we speak.
“Like any band worth its salt, Gwar is constantly working on new songs,” the band writes in a statement.
“What’s different now is that the band has its own in-house recording studio/jam space, so everything they do is tracked. There is no release date, no gory details but rest assured of one thing…Gwar is working on a new album, and it will be a tribute to their lost Scumdog brother, Flattus Maximus!”
Gwar will be back on the road this spring for another round of live shows.
The trek will kick off with a special tribute show for fallen bandmate and friend Cory Smoot, in Richmond, Virginia, at The National Theater on March 16.
All proceeds from the Richmond show will benefit the Smoot Family Fund which has been established to help support Cory’s widow and their unborn child.
Smoot was found dead on Gwar’s tour bus in early November. He was only 34.
