Children of Bodom are one of those bands I used to love. Then they released what I perceived to be a couple of shitty efforts, and I kind of dropped them like a bad habit. That doesn’t mean I wouldn’t give ‘em a second chance if they were to put out a new album.
But if the record doesn’t grab onto my nuts and hold on within the first three songs, I’m out.
In a new interview, Bodom frontman Laiho says that he’s getting pumped up to write new music for all you fans out there.
“I have ideas, but I haven’t done anything about it,” Alexi says
“’Cause the thing is, I can’t write when I’m touring; it’s not the right kind of environment for me,” Laiho adds.
“I know a lot of people do it, but I just can’t. And it’s OK, ’cause I build a lot of ideas in my head, and my memory sucks, but one thing that I never forget is the riffs; they’re always in my head somehow. So it’s really not a problem.”
That’s like saying I could only write posts from my couch. Give me a fucking break, man.
