Marilyn Manson Talks Forthcoming LP
Yup. Marilyn Manson gave an interview to Revolver magazine, and spoke about his forthcoming eighth studio album, Born Villain.
The album comes out this spring through Cooking Vinyl Records, apparently. The first single — a joint called “No Reflection” — will make its way to radio stations no one listens to anymore in May.
“It doesn’t really sound like any of my old records,” Manson says about the new disc.
“In fact it sort of sounds like what I listened to before I made records — Killing Joke, Joy Division, Revolting Cocks, Birthday Party…It’s very rhythm-driven. It’s actually very bluesy.”
That’s kind of interesting, actually. If it’s true.
“It’s the first record where I repeat verses. I just sing the words in a different key, the next time. I’ve never done that before, because I’ve always felt like I needed to write a lot of words in the past … I think this will probably be the grandest concept record of all.”
I still won’t buy it. I don’t know anyone who will. Not personally.
