Oh yeah, fucknut.

Finnish progressive metal titans Malpractice have confirmed that they are holed up in Astia Studios in Lappeenranta, Finland, where they have begun recording their fourth album.

The band’s deal with Spinefarm ceased in early 2011; by that point, the band had an album’s worth of material they just had to get to the fans.

“We decided not to just sit on this gem we have written,” says guitarist Joonas Koto. “This kind of an album totally deserves to be released.”

I hope it works out, and a label picks the disc up. These dudes are solid.

The new album will once again be produced by Koto and drummer Toni Paananen.

“We don’t know when or who will release the album yet, but it will come out eventually one way or another,” Koto says.
