For Today
Yes, it’s true. Just as it’s true that Facebook proves, in large part, that most people have a wildly exaggerated and unrealistic sense of self. I guess if you lie enough to yourself, you can believe your own bullshit.

For Today — one of those bands I know people dig, but I’ve honestly never checked out because they’re often affiliated with the “C” word — have enlisted a number of guests for their upcoming album, Immortal.

What’s the “C” word, you ask? Christian. Some folks have labeled these dudes Christian. So, I’ve decided I’ll pass. They could sound like Watain meets Black Dahlia Murder, and I still wouldn’t want to hear it.

I have standards.

The disc will feature guest appearances by August Burns Red vocalist Jake Luhrs, P.O.D.’s singer Sonny Sandoval and Sleeping Giant frontman Tommy Green are due to grace the effort.

Immortal is slated for release on May 22 through Razor & Tie, and will feature 11 songs, including “The King,” “Fearless,” “Stand Defiant,” “The Call,” “Foundation,” “Open Eyes,” “Under God” (dead giveaway), “Set Apart,” “The Only Name,” and “My Confession.“
