Soundgarden’s First Song In 15 Years: Hear It Here
So, chances are you may have already heard this. It took me all day to find it not on this lame-ass radio station’s site. If you have not heard it, head for the end of this here post so you can hear a new Audioslave song.
Wait — I mean, it’s the first new song from Soundgarden in 15 fucking years, dude. And yes, it’s catchy, and yes, it’s infectious in an annoying way; kind of like anal mites. But, I’m sorry…I like my Soundgarden ripping the fucking paper off the walls of my fucking eardrums, and bringing the heavy.
This sounds like an Audioslave reject to me. Just being honest. My initial reaction. Nothing screams “Soundgarden” to me about this song. NOTHING! What the fuck is this shit?
I am a Soundgarden fan, people — so don’t take this the wrong way. Fifteen years, and this is how you come back? Guys…really? There was nothing harder from those sessions to kick us in the proverbial nuts with? If that’s the case, my excitement for the new Soundgarden has wilted.
The song, called “Live To Rise,” is included on “Avengers Assemble,” a 14-track compilation of music from and inspired by the film, which will be in stores May 1.
